The November birthday party was a huge success! Thank you to all who helped make this day special! The December birthday party will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8th at 2 p.m. Hope you can make it!
The Legion Turkey Shoot went off with a bang! (LOL!) We had a good turnout despite the weather and everyone had a good time. Thank you for supporting the Post.
Our Thanksgiving Dinner was well attended and I want to personally thank all those involved in preparing the meal. It was delicious! We also served a Hos-pice Veteran and his family of 6, as part of our mission to help needy Veterans.
This month, we have a few parties coming up. First, the Bartenders will hold their annual Appreciation Christmas Party at 2 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 14th. On Sat., December 21st the Legion will hold their Christmas Party at 3 p.m. We will have a gift exchange, so please bring a $15 Dirty Santa gift if you plan to attend. Lastly, we will be having a New Year’s Eve party for club members only. Please bring a finger food/appetizer if you plan to attend. The party starts early afternoon. Time TBD. We will have Tom Evans again for all 3 parties!!!

ALA Meeting Dec. 3- 6p.m.
ALA Christmas Party Dec. 15- 2 p.m.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Remember- No Breakfast in December!
In this last month of 2019, we have much to be proud of! We have done so many great things this year. From many updates to the kitchen and dining room, adding space to hold cleaning/personal care items in our pantry, and most importantly providing more support for Veteran’s and Children’s causes this year!
If you haven’t supported our pantry yet- it’s the time of year when those needs are greatest. Please drop off any non perishable items, cleaning or person-al care items at the club. If you are unable to come to the club and would like to help- please mail a check to the club marked for “The Pantry” Attention: Margie Koehler.
This year we will have our Christmas Party on Sunday, December 15 at 2 p.m. in the dining room. Please bring a finger food to share as well as a $15 gift for the Dirty Santa game- we had a great time last year, so please plan to join us!
We will be hosting Christmas parties for the Veterans in 2 of the nursing homes in Paris, if you are interested in attending, please get in touch with Margie Koehler or Becky Cheek so they can plan for refreshments.
As we move into next year, let’s remember the blessings we have received throughout the year and give thanks. Special thanks to each and every member who has helped in any way, so that we can be successful in our goals to help others. I hope that next year more members will get involved and make it an even better 2020!
May God Bless You and Yours this Christmas!

Well, the Holidays are upon us. Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day. Thanks to everyone that participated in the Turkey Shoot at the Picnic, and at the Veteran’s Day Parade. This is a busy month at the Post. Stop by and enjoy! Dues are due!

This month is flying by at a high rate of speed. I would like to thank all of the folks that helped make the Veteran’s Day Parade a success…THANK YOU!!! Our poker run and bon-fire was a success even with the crappy weather. The riders went on a ride to Murray for lunch and stopped at B and D’s to show our appreciation for their support of our Legion. Not much else going on due to the cooler weather and upcoming holidays, so stay warm, safe, and enjoy your family and friends
